School is out and summer is finally here. For the first time, many Ridgefield sophomores and juniors are foregoing the pool for their first summer job.

If you are a follower of the "froyo" craze, you may enjoy a job at Peachwave. They are always accepting applications for teenagers that are 16 or older. According to their regional manager, they have an on-going employment process throughout the summer. Even if jobs aren't available now, check back as the summer continues.

Want to have a located right in the heart of Ridgefield? Try out Swizzles! They are always accepting applications, which can be completed on their website, or you can stop by the store. You must also be 16 to work at Swizzles.
Deborah Ann's Sweet Shoppe:

This classic sweet shop on Main Street always has high schoolers behind the counter dishing out candy or scooping ice cream. Stop by the shop or call them and ask about empolyment opportunities.
Both of these businesses are not currently hiring for summer jobs, but the owners recommended applying in late winter or early spring of next year because of their popularity...it's never too early to start planning for next summer!

Everyone loves stopping by Ridgefield Ice Cream Shop on Route 7, so why not get behind the counter and swirl some cones yourself? Many of the employees here are high schoolers and you must be at least 15 to work there (if it's agreeable with your parents).
