Recently Young Life was voted by Charity Navigator (an organization that serves to guide people on how to make donations that will get the most "bang for the buck") #3 out of the top 10 charities in the nation.
"These 10 charities work throughout the country and the world. They are large, complex organizations with budgets exceeding $100 million, and at least $65 million in net assets. They became household names in part because of their exceptional financial management. Charitable givers should feel confident that these national institutions put their donations to good use," the article states.
Young Life is active in all 50 states and more than 50 countries throughout the world and is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO. Young Life has had a presence in Fairfield County for more than 40 years and has been positively impacting the lives of Ridgefield teenagers since 1986. Young Life's sister organization, Wyldlife, caters to Ridgefield middle schoolers. Both Young Life and Wyldlife hold weekly meetings for teenagers called "club" which Young Life leaders describe as "a party with a purpose". Young Life also invites kids to attend summer camping trips and winter weekends filled with an abundance of adventurous activities at Young Life's own camping facility in Upstate New York.
