Augusta (Frulla) Brusca
Augusta (Frulla) Brusca, 95, of Ridgefield, passed away on Saturday afternoon, May 31 , 2014 at the Farmington Care Center, Farmington, CT.
Mrs. Brusca was born in Ridgefield, August 1, 1918, daughter of Alessandro and Rose (Catalano) Frulla. She attended Ridgefield schools and graduated from Ridgefield High School.
A secretary, Mrs. Brusca was employed by Mutual Real Estate and National Semiconductor both of Danbury.
A lifelong Ridgefield resident, she resided primarily at the family residence on North Salem Road, and in her later years, at Ballard Green. She was a member of the Ridgefield Garden Club, American Legion Auxiliary, St. Mary's Parish and served four terms as the President of the Italian American Ladies Mutual Aid Society. She was an election poll worker and a member of the O.W.L.S. senior citizen group.
Mrs. Brusca was an avid golfer. She enjoyed playing golf at the Ridgefield Golf Club in the Ladies Group and many charitable tournaments. After retirement, she continued her golfing career throughout the winters in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Mrs. Brusca, or Augie as her friends knew her, enjoyed traveling throughout the world. She participated in a number of trips to destinations like Hawaii, Austria and Italy. She also organized numerous bus trips for her friends throughout the Northeast.
She is survived by a daughter, Bettie Anne Buzzi and her husband, Andrew Sr. of New Smyrna Beach, FL; two sons, William A. Brusca and his wife, Teresa of Foxboro, MA and Clayton Brusca Jr. and his wife Frances of Naples, FL; a brother, Alexander Frulla and his wife, Shirley of Ridgefield; seven grandchildren: Andrew Buzzi, Jr, Deborah Buzzi, William Brusca, Patrick Brusca, Joseph Brusca, Sherry Brusca and Aimee Cerra; eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
ln addition to her parents, Mrs. Brusca was predeceased by one brother, Armando Frulla and by four sisters, Mary Montesi, Elda Ruopp, Quinta Montesi and Pauline Moylan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 10:15 AM at St. Mary Church, 55 Catoonah St., Ridgefield with Rev. Peter A. Smolik, Parochial Vicar officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.

James F. Feenan
James F. Feenan passed away on June 1, 2014 at age 78 after a short illness. He grew up in The Bronx NY and attended All Hallows High School. He attended Manhattan College, Boston Law School & Fordham Law School. He was a professional in commercial real estate; he worked for Colt, RCA, Equitable, G.E.Capital, Volkswagen and XEROX.
He served in the US Navy from 1954-1957 on the USS Norton; a guided missile vessel and as well in Guam.
He was predeceased by his parents Herbert & Louise Feenan, and Brother Gerard Feenan. He resided in Ridgefield from 1971 through 1985 and then moved to the New Jersey shore before moving back to Ridgefield in 2009.
He is survived by his six children; MaryLouise Neville, James Francis Feenan & his wife Maria Feenan, Thomas Michael Feenan, Karen Ann Feenan, Brian Eugene Feenan & his wife Christine Feenan, Tara Feenan and his former wife Joan Marlin. He is also survived by eight Grandchildren; Nicole Neville, Thomas Neville, Laura Neville, Heather Feenan, Colleen Feenan, James Feenan, Jacob Haynes, and Ronan Feenan; and one Great Grandchild; Wyatt Hudgens.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 5-8 pm, with a prayer service at 7 pm at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield.
