Ann's Place & Praxair Cancer Center Hold Head/Neck Cancer Event

CANCER OF THE HEAD AND NECK:PREVENTION, TREATMENT, CURRENT TRENDS & IMPACT

Ann's Place Inc. in collaboration with the Praxair Cancer Center will host an information session for those challenged by cancer of the head and neck. There will be a presentation by many of the area's leading oncology professionals, including Dr. Marc Rappaport, Oncologist, Dr. Anthony Fama, ENT Surgeon, Vicki Barber, Oncology Dietician, Cathy Donoghue, Oncology RN, Amy Mlodzianowski, Oncology Social Worker and Tracy Hudson, Speech Therapist. There will be time at the end of the presentation for questions and answers.

The Head and Neck Cancer event will take place at Ann's Place, 80 Saw Mill Road, Danbury, CT on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 6:30-8:30 PM. This seminar will be most helpful to those that are newly diagnosed, currently in treatment or post-treatment, as well as caregivers, family members and health professionals.

Specific topics that will be discussed include the side effects of treatment, nutritional needs, current research trends, psychosocial impact, prevention and early detection.
