Two RHS Seniors are Watershed Gallery's Resident Artists

Ridgefied High School seniors and Watershed Gallery Resident Artists, Catriona Collins and Keith Horvath, were hard at work last week. The artists set-up a massive painting surface outside the gallery and began work on a collaborative project. Collins and Horvath will host an open studio at the gallery during Ridgefield's of Art Walk on Friday, August 22. The public is invited to stop in and see what the artists in residence have done this summer at the gallery.

Collins said of the collaboration "Keith and I decided to do a project together to explore our artistic boundaries. We benefit from each other when we work together."

"We just started throwing paint against this huge background to get our artistic aggression out." The artists have plans for the splattered canvas to evolve into a conceptual "family-portrait" project that has yet-to-be completed.
