The Danbury Museum & Historical Society are inviting you to celebrate National Family History Month with a program they are launching for the month called, “Family Faces.”

Those with roots in Danbury are invited to contribute a family photo or photos to become part of the archives at the DMHS and they need not part with the originals.

Visit the DMHS during open hours, Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and we'll scan your photo and add any biographical or family history information that you'd like to provide.

Your family faces and a bit of history will be available in the archives for future generations to access. “ This is a great opportunity to include your family as part of Danbury's local history. It's a simple way to honor and share the story of an ancestor who has been a part our community,” shared Brigid Guertin, Executive Director of the Danbury Museum & Historical Society.

Remember, those who may not be interested now, will one day discover a family photo and be grateful to you.

Don't worry if you don't live locally; you can still participate. Email a scanned image and any accompany family information to webmaster@danburymuseum.org
