Basil Yoga Center (BYC) will hold a community yoga class to benefit the Ridgefield Food Pantry on Sunday, November 9, from 4–5:30 pm.   Participants are asked to bring non-perishable food items or grocery store gift cards for donation to the Food Pantry.

Led by Basil Jones, owner of BYC, the class will feature vinyasa-flow yoga, and will be followed by fresh brewed antioxidant tea from Elizabellas and cupcakes provided by The Cake Box. All levels are welcome, from beginners to instructors.

BYC Community Classes are once each month on Sunday from 4-5:30 pm at Basil Yoga Center, 31 Bailey Avenue in Ridgefield (below Peterson Chiropractic).  Although there is no charge for these classes, donations are suggested. Previous organizations that have benefitted from BYC Community Classes are Autism Speaks, the American Cancer Society, and IOFA (the International Organization for Adolescents).

“Yoga is about community, sharing, and nourishing the body, mind and spirit,” Jones said, “and it is our sincere hope that we can help stock the shelves and feed those in need.” Space is limited, so please sign up on line at www.basilyoga.com, or call (203) 403-2280.
