Audience will ROCK (literally) when Everyone Orchestra takes the Ridgefield Playhouse stage!

Unique Everyone Orchestra will jam at The Ridgefield Playhouse Sunday, May 10, with Bobby Paltauf Band opening

The edge-of-your-seat enthusiasm for what is next is the fuel behind the continuous musical experiment of the Everyone Orchestra. Featuring Vernon Reid (Living Colour), Robert Mercurcio (Galactic), Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd), Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band), Ivan Jackson (High and Mighty Brass Band) and Todd Stoops (Kung Fu), Everyone Orchestra will be conducted by multi-instrumentalist Matt Butler on the stage of The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, May 10, at 8 p.m. with the audience actually becoming part of the rock, improvisational/jam band performance.

At this one-of-a-kind improvisational musical project, the musicians create completely different music at every performance through conducted improvisational musical exploration and audience participation.  Butler conceived the project in 2001 after traveling the country extensively in the 1990s as the drummer and percussionist for the touring band Jambay.  Everyone Orchestra shows almost always include live painters and often feature performance artists alongside the musicians.

Kicking off the night is The Bobby Paltauf Band, founded by guitar prodigy Bobby Paltauf. At the age of 15, he has already played with some of the most notable musicians in the industry including Buddy Guy, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, The Meter Men, The Revivalists, DJ Logic, Twiddle, America, Kung Fu, Deep Banana Blackout, Jen Durkin, Andrew Gromiller, Anders Osborne, Stanton Moore, Papa Mali, Rob Mercurio, John Medeski, Lucky Peterson, Joe Tatton and many more! The band’s unique blend of funk, jazz and rock sounds is showcased on their first full-length album Lost and Found, which promises to impress all kinds of music lovers.

An AllShows.com VIP Party Pass ($25 add. per person), which includes a pre-show cocktail party 6:30 – 7:15 p.m. with open bar, hors-d’oeuvre and priority parking, is available for this show, which is part of the Xfinity Rock Series with media sponsor The Peak 107.1fm.

What makes this show different from anything else is that it represents the best of both worlds -- good musicians playing at their best and the element of surprise -- because even the Everyone Orchestra musicians don’t know what’s next! It’s magical, pure musicianship and inspiration. Everyone Orchestra provides a platform of what’s best about music with the least amount of obstacles.
