Student ACT & SAT Accolades for Tutoring Club

"We had a great success with our SAT and ACT prep at the Tutoring Club," exclaims Tutoring Club owner, Maria Markus.

A Tutoring Club student just stopped by the Main Street office to tell Markus that he received at score of 34 on his April ACT.

What's more, Markus says, "Our recent SAT students scored around 2000 on March SAT. This great feedback makes our job so satisfying!"

Here are the ingredients to a successful standardized test score:

"We usually start with diagnostic tests, given about once a month (those also serve as fundraisers for local youth organizations). We evaluate results with parents and students and decide on the best test to take," explains Markus.

"We tailor our prep to individual student, working in small groups no more then three students per tutor.  We have a great staff that has been doing it for many years and who know very well not just the subject area, but also dos and don’ts on these exams," she adds.

Markus says that a big factor in test-prep success is for students to be motivated to do well. "We give homework assignments and we expect them to be done every time," she says.
