Proma, Promposals, Dresses & More! The Buzz Surrounding the RHS Senior Prom

As Ridgefield High School’s Senior prom rapidly approaches, prom fever has begun to hit the students.

As boys secure their dates and get fitted for their tuxes, girls are on the prowl for the perfect dress and are booking their hair and nail appointments.

There are new posts to the ‘Ridgefield High School Senior Prom Dress’ page on Facebook daily. As the girls are always changing their mind, returning, and buying new dresses. These changes are anticipated to continue right up until the big day - May 29. This group is created each year, in effort to prevent anyone from having the same dress on prom night and avoiding any ‘proma,’ or prom drama.

Prom doesn’t just invade Facebook, but it also takes over Instagram for the spring while students post their ‘Promposals.’ This year, the anonymous account “rhspromposal,” has posted the majority of the senior prom "askings" to showcase the students creativity. These eventful promposals have gone from trend, to becoming a nationwide standard. Its a ‘competition’ among students to see who can think the biggest, or the most out of the box.

The RHS Senior Prom will be held May 29, 2015 at The Matrix Corporate Center in Danbury CT, from 7 to 11 pm.
