A one car motor vehicle accident occurrred on Keeler Drive, Ridgefield, Ct on August 4, 2011 at approximately 3:50 am. As a result of the accident, Jacqueline Brice, aged 16, was killed. the following investigators contributed to the investigation of this accident: teh first responding officers and the Ridgefield Police Departmlent Fatal Accident Investigation Team as well as Detectives from the Ridgefield Detective Division. 

As a result of the investigation, six people have been arrested:

1. Sixteen year old female from Ridgefield

Charge: Delivery of Alcohol to a Minor

2. Seventeen year old male from Ridgefield

Charge: Conspiracy to Deliver Alcohol to a Minor

3. Seventeen year old male from Ridgefield

Charges: Delivery of Alcohol to a Minor, Delivery of Alcohol with a false ID, Forgery 2nd

4. Sixteen year old male from Ridgefield

Charge: Delivery of Alcohol to a Minor

5. Sixteen year old male from Ridgefield

Charge: Delivery of Alcohol to a Minor

6. Adult: James Werner, DOB: 09/19/1990 of Tarrytown, NY

Charges: Conspiracy to Commit Procuring Alcohol for a Minor, Conspiracy to Commit Obtaining Alcohol with False ID

On August 3, 2011, a large underage alcohol party occured at a private residence in Ridgefield, CT. The sixteen year old who hosted the party was arrested and charged; the parents were not home at the time of this party.

Two seventeen year old males were arrested for supplying the liquor for this party. These two seventeen year olds purchased the alcohol at two different businesses in Danbury using fake identifications. A sixteen year old male who attended the party was arrested for selling alcohol to a juvenile.

On August 3, 2011, another youth gathering occurred at a private residence in Ridgefield, CT. The sixteen year old male who had this party was arrested and charged with Delivery of Alcohol to a Minor.  the twenty year old male who supplied alcohol for this gathering was also arrested.

On August 4, 2011 at approximately 3:50am, Jacqueline Brice was driving a 2008 Range Rover east on Keeler Drive. As this vehicle proceeded around a slight curve in the roadway, it crossed into the opposite lane and traveled off the roadway.  The vehicle struck a tree with the driver's side front fender.  The tree tore into the vehicle removing the front tire, front fender, driver's and rear doors.  The vehicle then struck a large rock and spun 180 degrees.  The Ridgefield Police Accident Investigation Team determined that the speed of Brice's vehicle to be excessive and well above the posted25mph speed limit.  The Chief Medical Examiner's Office determined the blood alcohol content of Jacqueline Brice to be .19% at the time whe was driving the vehicle.

The investigation is closed.
