Multi-Platinum Charlie Daniels Band will rise again at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, October 24

From rock to country, bluegrass, blues and gospel - Charlie Daniels Band is quintessentially Southern.  Fans know them for their top tunes “Long Haired Country Boy”, “The South’s Gonna Do It Again”, “In America”, “The Legend of Wooley Swamp” and his signature song, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”, which won a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group in 1979.  Daniels — a one-time sideman and friend to rock icons Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Ringo Starr as well as just about any pop or country artist who wanted to employ a top session guitarist on Music Row — and his band will get everybody stomping at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, September 20, at 8 p.m.  

Other CDB classics include “Uneasy Rider”, “Trudy” and many more, which define the southern rock genre and have left an indelible mark on America’s musical landscape. They have produced Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum albums and garnered awards from The Country Music Association, The Academy of Country Music and the Grammies. Kicking off the evening is Union Rail, a Connecticut based band who blends a mix of old time American music with their own sound.
