The national media channels have been buzzing since Tuesday's Presidential Debate. And this time, it's not Trump making headlines. It's one of the moderators.
"The real winner online was not even a presidential candidate, it was Maria Bartiromo, of Fox Business News - her brooch captivated the Internet," said Willie Geist said on The Today Show.
The brooch was the talk of the debate, being compared to the MockingJay symbol from the "Hunger Games" films and Joffrey's crown in "Game of Thrones".
One Ridgefielder knows a lot about Maria's flattering brooch - her sister Theresa Santoro, CEO of Ridgefield Visiting Nurses Association.
"She was as smart and strong as my sister is and wanted her spirit in the room for a successful debate," said Santoro.
Post-debate reviews glow. New York Times called Tuesday's debate "the most substantive Republican debate so far."
The brooch is not only pretty, it has power.
