
Manuel Barraza
Manuel Barraza, 81, of Ridgefield, formerly of Long Island, NY, husband of Ana (Pinedo) Barraza, died on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Regional Hospice Center for Comfort Care and Healing, Danbury.
Mr. Barraza was born in Chaco, Argentina, March 26, 1934, a son of the late Angel and Linda (Farias) Barraza. He attended schools in Argentina and was a tailor by trade.
A resident of the United States for the past forty seven years coming from Argentina, Mr. Barraza first settled in Long Island, NY and for the past two years a resident of Ridgefield.
He operated a tailor shop in Manhattan prior to his retirement and was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish of Ridgefield.
In addition to his wife of thirty nine years, Mr. Barraza is survived by a son, Roberto M. Barraza of Stroudsburg, PA; four daughters, Monica Barraza of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Karina Towne and her husband, Harris of Ridgefield, Susana Herrick and her husband, Zachary of Glastonbury, CT and Mariela Winter and her husband, Jeremy of Ridgefield, CT; two sisters of Argentina; nine grandchildren, Veronica, Bobby, Michael, Ashton, Madison, Isabella, Sofia, Gabriella and Emilia and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 520 Ridgebury Rd., Ridgefield.
Interment will take place in Chaco, Argentina.
The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
