Cabaret Opens Thursday, March 10 at RHS

The Ridgefield High School Visual and Performing Arts Department will present the musical Cabaret in the Anne S. Richardson Auditorium of Ridgefield High School on March 10 -13.

Join English cabaret performer Sally Bowles in 1930s Berlin at the Kit Kat Klub, where anything goes on stage. Directed by Sherry Cox, with musical direction by David Gomez, Cabaret features a student orchestra playing the Kander and Ebb score. Junior Sarah Thorn performs the role of entertainer Sally Bowles and senior Michael Shofi is Clifford Bradshaw, the American novelist. Junior Casey Wishna is the Master of Ceremonies. Also featured are: Olivia Basile as Fraulein Schneider, Tyler Carey as Herr Schultz, Sarah Ford as Fraulein Kost, Ian LoCascio as Ernst Ludwig, Aidan Meachem as Max, and Evan Smolin as the Customs Official. Dance Co-Captains are Alexandra DiGiacomo and Vivian Altopp. Emily Kerr is concertmistress.

Producer Ginger Cutter says, "With the provocative design and direction of Sherry Cox accompanied by the lively musical direction of David Gomez, the RHS version of Cabaret will be remembered for years to come." Performances, March 10-12 at 7:30 p.m.; matinee performances, March 12-13 at 2:00 p.m. Snow date: March 20 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets $15 for adults, $10 for college students and younger, $10 for seniors age 60+.
