Snow in Ridgefield's weekend forecast

Light to moderate precipitation is forecast for the greater Danbury area during the day Saturday, April 9 through early Saturday night.

"Initially, it will be cold enough for the precipitation to develop as snow area wide, change to rain as temperatures rise into the low 40s, then back to snow as temperatures fall through the 30s," explains Gary Conte of NOAA Operations Center.

There is a potential for an accumulating wet snowfall of 2 to 3 inches.
