Om for Life: Free Yoga for Cancer Survivors at The Yoga Shala

FREE course on yoga, meditation and ayurveda for cancer survivors:

CT Challenge - Om for Life

at The Yoga Shala

Thursdays at 6:45pm, May 19 to June 16

The shala is pleased to offer a free, introductory course in the practice of yoga to cancer survivors in our community.

No practice experience necessary. The spring course includes:

• yoga asana practice

• meditation instruction

• restorative/relaxation practice

• ayurveda, diet and seasonal practices

This course is free and offered to all interested cancer survivors through a grant from the CT Center for Survivorship.

Registration is limited to 12 students. Register online theyogashalact.com, by phone or at the shala. Participants who are new to The Yoga Shala will receive a month of free practice at the studio at the completion of the course.

We recognize that each survivor is on a journey...a road to recovery and wellness. Our hope is that an experience of yoga, mindful breathing and meditation will be a powerful personal guide along this road. Yogic practices bring strength, stamina, mental clarity and self-awareness. All of these empower the student to be an active participant in their own health and wellness. We are honored and delighted to be a part of Om for Life. If you, or someone you know is a cancer survivor (recently or far removed from treatment) please register for this course.

The Yoga Shala is located at  49 Ethan Allen Highway
