Ridgefield Occupational Therapist Joins RVNA Staff

The Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) has announced that Ridgefield resident, Danielle Taibi – Masters of Occupational Therapy (MOTR/L), has recently joined the RVNA staff. Ms. Taibi received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theater arts from Syracuse University and a Masters Degree in occupational therapy at Mercy College.
After a decade in the entertainment field, Ms. Taibi left to pursue a career in occupational therapy due to a love for health and wellness. “I look forward to working for RVNA, as it allows me to focus on preventative health strategies for patients,” Taibi said. “I enjoy interacting with patients and hearing their stories. Being an occupational therapist with RVNA will enable me to help the people in and around Ridgefield. In addition, RVNA is an attractive place to work because their dedicated staff has so much to offer our community and surrounding areas. Healthcare has evolved and RVNA found a way to stay people-focused.”
Her areas of interest include wellness and prevention. This includes helping a patient get back to good health habits post injury, surgery or health event; providing the patient with motivation to participate in life activities while healing; and addressing caregiver’s concerns regarding a client's fall risk or recovery process.
Taibi is married with two young children. She enjoys music, spinning, skiing, art and theater.
