Ridgefield Orchestra Foundation Holds Louise Peck Society Meeting

The fifth Annual Meeting of the Ridgefield Orchestra Foundation’s Louise Peck Legacy Society was held at Dan and Annette O’Brien’s home on May 4th. A financial update of the Ridgefield Orchestra Foundation investment portfolio was given, along with a presentation of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra’s 2017-2018 season. The highlight of the evening was the wonderful musical performance by RSO principal cellist Nicholas Hardie, accompanied on piano by Tomoko Uchino.

Louise Peck (1920-1999) was a passionate promoter of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, a graduate of Barnard College, a poet and a patron of the arts. Upon her death Louise Peck bequeathed a substantial gift to the Ridgefield Orchestra Foundation. In her honor the Louise Peck Legacy Society was formed as a fitting tribute to the philanthropist. The Ridgefield Orchestra Foundation exists to provide enduring and sustainable classical music programs and increase the RSO’s involvement in the greater Ridgefield community.
