Construction Nears Completion for Red Rooster Pub in Ridgefield

Two decades after Tony Ramadani opened Mirabella at 43 Danbury Road in Ridgefield, the seasoned restaurateur is back in his old stomping ground preparing to bring the community American comfort food.

"I've come full circle - I'm back!" Ramadani told us when we spoke with him in late August of 2017. He is the owner of sister restaurant, Red Rooster Pub in Newtown, as well as Max 40 in Danbury and Portofino in Wilton.

We stopped in the soon-to-open Red Rooster Pub today to see how things were coming along. While we didn't speak with Ramadani, the workers at the job site told us that Red Rooster Pub is set to open in about five weeks. We will confirm this time-frame with Ramandani just as soon as we can.

From the looks of things, it's safe to say the seasoned restauranteur is nearly finished transforming the former Toscana restaurant into a rustic family-friendly eatery. The hardwood floors, distressed wood beams, authentic barn doors, an open floor plan and natural light create a Vermont-like inviting vibe.
