Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. Since the campaign began in January of 2018, 40 Ridgefield businesses have been "tagged" and given the opportunity to share their story. And, we've only just begun...
Three questions with Bob Sperry, co-owner of Prime Burger.
Why did you start your business?
The community support for our gourmet butcher shop Ridgefield Prime that we received over the years encouraged us to open another food business. When you're known for having the best meat in town, a fast-casual burger joint seemed like a good idea.
Best selling product/service?
The Prime Burger with cheese and a hand-scooped thick chocolate milkshake. It creates a lot of smiles.
Our entire front of the house team consists of cheerful high school students. Working in the hospitality business and interacting with customers is a great first job.
Prime Burger is located at 449 Main Street. Visit them online here.

Why Small Businesses Matter in Ridgefield is the brainchild of Jeff Konchalski, owner of Nature's Temptations. By putting a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community, Jeff wants to stress the importance of shopping and supporting everything local.
