We stopped in the soon-to-open Red Rooster Pub today to see how things were coming along. The former Toscana restaurant has been re-made! Seasoned restaurateur Tony Ramadani is a few weeks away from opening a rustic family-friendly eatery at 43 Danbury Road. We snapped some photos of the totally transformed interior.
The hardwood floors, distressed wood beams, authentic barn doors, large farm tables, and open floor plan create a Vermont-like inviting vibe. You can see from the photos that the ceiling in the large bar area has been raised to expose additional windows bringing abundant natural light into the restaurant.
Two decades after Tony Ramadani opened Mirabella at 43 Danbury Road in Ridgefield, the seasoned restaurateur is back in his old stomping ground preparing to bring the community American comfort food.
"I've come full circle - I'm back!" Ramadani told us when we spoke with him in late August of 2017. He is the owner of sister restaurant, Red Rooster Pub in Newtown, as well as Max 40 in Danbury and Portofino in Wilton.
