Mr. William Santarsiero Named Interim Principal of Scotland Elementary School

Dr. JeanAnn Paddyfote is pleased to announce Mr. William Santarsiero as Interim Principal of Scotland Elementary School effective August 8, 2018.
Mr. Santarsiero retired in June 2018 from Danbury Public Schools as Principal of Morris Street School, a National Blue Ribbon School. He served as Principal of Morris Street School for 21 years. Prior to his appointment as Principal, Mr. Santarsiero served as Supervisor of Special Education in the Danbury Public Schools for eight years. He also worked for Stamford Public Schools as a Special Education Teacher for six years and an Administrative Intern for three years.
Mr. Santarsiero earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Connecticut State University in Special Education and a Master of Science degree in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities. In addition, he earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Administration and Supervision from Fairfield University.
Dr. Salvatore Pascarella, Superintendent of Danbury Public Schools, described Mr. Santarsiero as a hard worker and excellent educator. Dr. William Glass, retired Assistant Superintendent of Danbury Public Schools, described Mr. Santarsiero in the following way, “He is kind, passionate, compassionate, and always places students at the center of his decision-making. He is beloved in his school and very highly regarded by his peers, staff, students, and parents.”
Mr. Santarsiero will serve as Interim Principal of Scotland Elementary School while the district conducts a search for Principal.
