New Boutique Salon to Open in Downtown Ridgefield

Pelo by Edgardo, a brand new salon, will open this summer at 16 Bailey Ave, in the space that once housed The Ridgefield Press and now Fitguana gym.
Danbury resident Edgardo Escribano, who has worked as a stylist and barber in Ridgefield for 14 years and in the industry for much longer, is the mastermind behind Pelo by Edgardo (Pelo meaning “hair” in Spanish), which he describes as “a small boutique salon with a focus on customer service.”
“I’ve been a hairstylist/barber since 1995 but started cutting hair as a hobby 30 years ago at the age of 14,” says Escribano.
As an educator in the industry for the past two decades, Escribano says he has been traveling the country conducting hair shows, salón education and photoshoots. “I’m currently a national senior educator for Color Wow which is a Wilton based family owned hair care line. It’s one of the fastest growing and respected brands in the industry today,” he says.
Escribano plans to conduct classes at Pelo by Edgardo, open to all salon professionals in the area.
“I’m looking to build a team who will embrace the Ridgefield community and create a business that will make Ridgefielders proud,” he says.
