Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Ridgefield Magazine and TownVibe!

Three questions with Geoffrey Morris, Ridgefield Magazine and TownVibe founder and publisher.

Why did you start your business?

Because this great town needed to have a place to shine. In 2002 there were many great things happening--new restaurants, shops, and people moving to town. With 15 years of experience as an editor at Reader's Digest and other leading titles, I realized a beautifully designed, professionally edited magazine could help connect the businesses, people, and the community. Good things happen when people connect.

Finish this sentence in regard to your business. “I wish I could…”

... publish more issues in a year, tell stories through videos and podcasts, and host more live events, featuring food, wine, and entertainment

What is your best selling product/service?

Full-page ads. Ridgefield Magazine reaches every home in town, and when most things in the mail these days go directly to recycling, the magazine captures people's attention. People get it. People read it. People love it.
