The Prospector Theater Closes Temporarily, Prospects Will Still Earn Paychecks and Spread Sparkle

Adding to the list of the many local venues that have now closed due to coronavirus is The Prospector Theater. Late this afternoon they announced that the Theater will be temporarily closed beginning on Friday, March 13th, 2020.
"This is an unprecedented action by The Prospector Theater. We have been open to the public since November 20th, 2014, which equals 1,933 days. Though our doors will be closed to the public, we will continue our mission of meaningful employment for adults with disabilities. Prospects will still be earning paychecks through this period of interruption," The Prospector wrote on their Facebook Page.
The Theater reported that there have been no known cases of COVID-19 among Prospects or their audiences. "Clean team have been furiously scrubbing, wiping, washing, cleaning, and sanitizing the theater. You can eat popcorn off the floor (please don’t!). The health and safety of our Prospects and our audiences is very important to us," they said.
If you have pre-purchased tickets for the month of March, please email ryan.wenke@prospectortheater.org for a refund.
And, the Theater added this very important bit of information:
One thing COVID-19 cannot take away from us is sparkle. Prospects will be using our collective sparkle working remotely on our upcoming engagement guides and movie releases. We will be ready to meet, greet, and seat you in our sparkling clean theater as soon as the time is right.
