RHS Grad Earns Acclaim as Singer/Songwriter, Releases Single "I Wear Black"

Ridgefield High School 2016 grad, and former HamletHub intern, Anna-Sophie Massek, known now as Issana, is winning acclaim as a singer/songwriter and just released a new single, "I Wear Black". 

Described by Wonderland Magazine  as "her euphoric and mesmerizing vocals exploring meditation and the positives of basking in your own darkness", the music video was shot in Iceland. Watch Issana perform the song here.

According to Wonderland Magazine, the single showcases her self-taught indie production and free-flowing songwriting style rare among new artists. The star cultivates a fresh and organic blend of electro-pop and hip-hop with a Billie Ellish-level of eccentricity present in the song." They add, "Isanna showcases everything you want in an artist, and is one you’ll be hearing a lot more from in the coming months."

Issana attended University of St. Andrews in Scotland. She is now living, working, and honing her craft in London.
