RHS Tiger Girls Basketball Team are FCIAC Champions!

Congratulations to the Ridgefield High School girls basketball team for winning its second straight FCIAC tournament championship on Saturday beating third-seeded Trumbull 46-43.

According to GametimeCT, the Tigers began the FCIAC championship with their top scorer Katie Flynn out for the game. Then, late in the third quarter, senior captain Kelly Chittenden left the game with a leg injury while sophomore starter Kaya Weiskopf was on the bench with four fouls.

The Tigers' Cali Stietzel stepped up to the plate when her team needed her most and was deemed FCIAC MVP. 

Final score: Ridgefield FCIAC Girls Basketball Championship – No. 1 Ridgefield 46, No. 3 Trumbull 43
