Ridgefield Library Welcomes Personal and Professional Career Branding Coach for Online Talk on Oct. 12

On Tuesday, October 12 at 7:00 p.m. Executive Career Coach Laura Powers will give an online talk via Zoom on how in today's challenging job market.

Being excellent at what you do is not enough. You also need to be excellent at marketing what you do that sets you apart, conveys your unique value, and differentiates you as a candidate. How do you do that? By first, understanding the elements of your personal and professional brand. Join Laura Powers, President of Powers Career Coaching, LLC, for an informative presentation where you will learn: 1) what personal and professional branding is (and isn't), 2) why it matters (so much) in your job search, and 3) how to begin to define and display your brand, authentically and strategically, throughout your job search campaign.

Laura Powers has over 20 years of experience helping accomplished leaders from diverse industries and career stages build the clarity, confidence, and self-marketing skills needed to make satisfying, successful career moves. In addition to running her private executive career coaching practice, Laura’s corporate career coaching experience includes positions at four corporate outplacement firms, a five-year career advisory role with The Hartford Financial Services Group, and earlier career experience as a corporate and private banking lender and business developer in the metropolitan New York area.
