Ridgefielder Battling Breast Cancer To Walk 60 Miles, Come To The Lantern on November 11 and Support Sandra Gill
Cocktails for a Cure at The Lantern on November 11 from 6 to 9pm with guest bartenders Peggy Marconi Rich Carter Sandra Gill Tizzie Mantione. The Lantern will donate 10% of all liquor sales and 10% of food from dining room reservations when you mention us Amazing raffle prizes!
The fundraising event hits close to home for Sandra and Tony Gill and supports their upcoming 60 mike walk which takes place over three days in San Diego.
Sandra and Tony will walk in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day® later this month.
Sandra says, "It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo and radiation. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I commit. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever."
Sandra survived breast cancer in 2016 and continues to fight hard following reoccurrence in 2020. "I am 12 months into chemo and radiation but I will not give up and I will show up!" she says.
