Ridgefield resident Chuck Sussman, owner of Town Planner Calendar, has died

Charles “Chuck” Sussman of Ridgefield, CT died unexpectedly on February 7, 2022 at the age of 79.
 
His early life was spent in NYC where he attended Stuyvesant High School and City College. After graduation, he served in the US Army and attained the rank of 1st Lieutenant. 
 
After a decade of being a corporate buyer, he became an entrepreneur and owned multiple businesses. For the last 25 years, he owned Town Planner Calendar and thoroughly enjoyed all of the local business owners he worked with. He was an active participant in multiple Fairfield County Chambers of Commerce and business groups. He absolutely loved living in Ridgefield for 45 years, especially on Rainbow Lake for the last 34 years. 
 
He is survived by his longtime partner, Kate Patriarca, his daughter, Mara Sussman, his son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Stacey Sussman, his grandchildren, Cristina Fernandez-O’Toole, Manuel and Alexander Tabares, Hannah and Milo Sussman. In addition he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Maxine Sussman and their children, Brian and Jill. He was predeceased by his beloved parents Douglas and Florence Sussman. 
 
A private memorial service will be held later in the Spring. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rainbow Lake Special Projects Fund, https://www.rainbowlake.org/
