On April 12, The Ridgefield Thrift Shop hosted its first Grant Recipient Open House at their retail store and welcomed the 81 grant recipients of 2022.

The Ridgefield Thrift Shop has been serving Ridgefield since 1937. Staffed entirely by volunteers, Ridgefield Thrift Shop donates all revenue to local charities.  The mission of RTS is simple, to support local non-profit organizations through recycling, re-purposing, and reselling generously donated goods and to provide the opportunity to purchase affordable merchandise at our shop.

President of RTS, Patricia Hellman “It was a great celebration of all of the hard work of our RTS members, and we loved the opportunity to share how we raise the money with many of the organization who had never even walked in our store before.”  Hellman also shared, “We are so blessed to be part of such a generous community; it is a team effort, the donors, the volunteers, the shoppers, and the recipients who serve the wonderful community.”

There are so many wonderful organizations in the greater Ridgefield area from soup kitchens to public safety, from the arts to animals.  Keep the donations coming so RTS can keep supporting the local community!
