Written by & Starring Candace Bushnell comes to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, November 11, 2022 @ 8pm, part of the Teed & Brown Broadway & Cabaret Series. In her new one woman show, New York icon Candace Bushnell, the international best-selling novelist and creator of Sex and the City takes us on a whirlwind tur of New York City, from Studio 54 to Sex and the City to Lipstick Jungle and beyond, sharing her remarkable philosophy through stories of fashion, literature and sex while pouring cosmos in Manolos. A rescheduled date has been announced for the legendary Art Garfunkel. He will perform on Friday, November 18, 2022 @ 8pm as part of the 068 Magazine Singer Songwriter Series. Art Garfunkel has made an indelible mark on the music world as both a solo artist and half of the unrivaled folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel. He has also enjoyed a successful film career, published a book of poetry and released 12 solo albums. A limited amount of tickets is still available; do not miss this career-spanning show! Announced and ON SALE NOW is The Sound of Music Sing Along on Sunday, December 4, 2022 @ 2pm, part of the Xfinity Family Series and Cohen and Wolf, P.C. Movie Series. The hills are alive as the original Sing-a-long-a is back more than 20 years since it revolutionized how we interact with the world’s favorite musical. A heart-warming story, based on the real life story of the Von Trapp Family singers, The Sound of Music is filled with such timeless Rodgers & Hammerstein songs’ such as “Do-RE-Mi,” “My Favorite Things,” “Edelweiss,” “So Long Farewell” and of course “The Sound of Music.” Come enjoy a screening of the classic Julie Andrews film musical in glorious, full-screen Technicolor, complete with lyric subtitles so that the whole audience can sing along. Long Island royalty, The Lords Of 52nd Street, is set to return to The Ridgefield Playhouse after four previous sold-out shows! They will perform on Saturday, January 28, 2023 @ 8pm as part of the Pepsi Rock Series Driven by North American Motor Car. Best known for backing Billy Joel on many of his greatest hits and most memorable concerts, The Lords Of 52nd Street are more than sidemen, they are stars in their own right, and their massive musical contributions helped shape Billy Joel’s music into one of the best-selling and most beloved songbooks of the 21st century. Led by multi-instrumentalist Richie Cannata, drummer/percussionist Liberty Devitto and guitarist Russell Javors, The Lords Of 52nd Street’s signature sounds can be heard on hits like “Only The Good Die Young,” “Scenes From An Italian Restaurant,” “New York State Of Mind,” “Angry Young Man” and so many more classics from the days of Seventies and Eighties Joel.
