RHS Dance Team Rocks a Flawless Routine Choreographed by Coach Taylor Bobay

Under the leadership of Head Coach: Taylor Jane Bobay, Assistant Coach: Arianna Danzig and Captains Phoebe Fogerty Bell and Maddi Rose, Ridgefield High School Varsity Dance Team has SO MUCH to cheer about!

Overcoming a ton of obstacles including several injuries, and a team stacked with underclassmen due to twelve dancers who graduated in 2022, this brand new team with little competition experience proved that with grit, passion, and perseverance, you can rise to the top.

[And their routine is flawless and will blow you away! Watch it!]

“I have the most hardworking, dedicated and talented team and I can't wait to see what next year has in store for us!” says Coach Bobay.

On January 21, the girls placed 1st at the Woodland Regional Dance Competition with the highest-scoring hip-hop routine.

They went on to compete in the CIAC State Championship on February 25 and earned 2nd in the State of Connecticut (falling to Fairfield Warde by a mere two points).

Yesterday, Sunday, March 12, the team competed in CNESSPA New England Regional Championship and placed 3rd among the New England state champions. “This was a huge achievement,” says Coach Bobay who adds, “What we achieved together was nothing short of amazing.”

The routine will blow you away! Choreographed by Bobay (who also selected the music) the team brilliantly nails the intricate choreography. “We really tried to step it up this year by adding more tricks and skills. It was an extremely challenging routine that pushed us and helped us grow.”
