Ridgefield Public School team members donned fire hats to surprise its Teacher of the Year, Andrew Maccabe! Maccabe is the Assistant Fire Chief of the Weston Fire Department.
RPS announced the good news on social media today.
Maccabe has been at RHS for 23 years and RPS says that his family, friends, and fellow firefighters came out to celebrate this incredible educator!
Ridgefield Public Schools reports that the other eight building Teacher of the Year winners will be announced across RPS this week.
