Please join us for this program! RSVP to caudatowa@gmail.com
Victor DeMasi is an active member of The Pollinator Pathway Project. He and his wife are stewards of a spectacular two-acre pollinator meadow behind their Redding home. They continuously strive to control invasive plants and add native nectar sources to preserve a pesticide-free refuge for pollinators. Victor was a wetland conservation officer in Redding for 20 years and is presently a curatorial affiliate at the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History in New Haven.
His fieldwork with butterflies contributed almost a thousand citations to the recently published Connecticut Butterfly Atlas. He also owns Monarch Painting, a decorative painting firm that specializes in faux finishes and trompe l'oeil. His murals often feature natural history subjects such as native wildflowers and butterflies.
