Ridgefield Guild of Artists thanks everyone who came out to celebrate our artists as we kicked off Art Walk 2023 last weekend. The rain stayed away Friday evening and Saturday was beautiful, and downtown Ridgefield was buzzing! People enjoyed strolling, visiting the artists and merchants, and purchasing some of the art, too! The crowds were entertained by Ridgefield High School musicians, Waiting on Mom and The Goobers. The shops generously opened their doors to the artists and the throngs of visitors.

But it’s not over! Art Walk continues through Sunday, September 10th. Maps are available at participating venues or by visiting the Guild’s website, www.rgoa.org, and all of the artwork remains in the stores through September 10th. If interested in more information about the artist or a piece of art, or to make a purchase, please call the Guild at 203.438.8863 or email Pam Stoddart at director.rgoa@gmail.com.

New this year is the use of Venmo for sales. Each item has a tag and a QR code to take you directly to the Guild’s account to purchase. “If using Venmo, please be sure to add tax (6.35%) to the cost of the piece, and indicate the artist’s name and piece # (found on the art tag), to be sure our accounting is accurate,” says Pam Stoddart, Executive Director and Chair of Art Walk.

Now in its 10th year, by bringing Art Walk 2023 to downtown Ridgefield, the Guild offers a way for member artists to have their work seen by the greater community. It’s an end-of-summer tradition and a welcome way to celebrate artists and their art!

Ridgefield Guild of Artists’ gallery barn and studios are located at 34 Halpin Lane. For more information about Art Walk and all Guild offerings, including classes for young and old, visit www.rgoa.org. RGOA is a long-standing 501c3 non-profit arts organization, about to celebrate 50 years in Ridgefield!
