My dear friend Sarah, a longtime Ridgefield resident, is currently at MSK Cancer Hospital 24/7 with her son, Sam, who is 21 years old and battling stage 4 cancer.
She had to use up her savings to take time off work during the first three months of his treatment. Now, Sam needs at least three more months of chemotherapy, and they are on the verge of losing their apartment. To make matters even more heartbreaking, they are both grieving the loss of Sarah’s oldest son, Zach, who tragically took his own life about a year ago.
