
Another night of great comedy is in store at The Ridgefield Playhouse when star of stage and screen Mario Cantone comes to town on Friday, March 2, at 8 p.m. Mario became a virtual icon when he played Charlotte York’s gay wedding planner with an attitude in both the TV and film versions of “Sex and the City”. His one-man-show is fast-paced and highlights Mario’s talents as comedian, singer and impersonator. This program is part of the Ridgefield Magazine/Morris Media Group Broadway & Cabaret Series. It is sponsored by Ridgefield Magazine and is partially underwritten by Adam Broderick Salon and Spa. Terra Sole Ristorante (3 Big Shop Lane, Ridgefield) is offering a complimentary glass of house wine with dinner the day of the event when tickets are shown. A veteran Broadway performer, Mario will share his spot-on impressions of prolific stars such as Joan Rivers, Bruce Springsteen, Liza Minnelli and Judy Garland. The audience can expect to hear his original musical parodies and witty commentary on family, everyday life, celebrities and stereotypes.
