CHIRP 2024 Season Opens TODAY Tuesday, May 28 in Ballard Park!

The CHIRP 2024 season kicks off TODAY Tuesday, May 28, with a special concert by the Ridgefield High School Orchestra under the direction of Michael McNamara. Dedicated to making Ridgefield an even better place to live, CHIRP (Concert Happenings in Ridgefield's Parks) offers a series of free outdoor family concerts in Ridgefield’s Ballard Park every Tuesday and Thursday from June 4 through August 29, 2024. Tonight's concert begins at 6pm.

There are no reservations or tickets required for CHIRP concerts. Simply bring your blankets, chairs, and picnics to enjoy the music. The season opens with the Ridgefield High School Orchestra in a special concert on May 28, and regular concerts will continue on both Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 4.

CHIRP’s mission is to present music and professional musicians who would not normally have a venue in the Ridgefield/Danbury area. Its main goals are to build community through shared experiences and to enhance Ridgefield’s reputation as a “destination.” Please note that while we love dogs, they are not permitted in Ballard Park.
