Ridgefield Public Schools announced today the appointment of Erica Ippoliti as the new Veterans Park Elementary Assistant Principal and District English Language Coordinator. Ms. Ippoliti has taught in the District since 2019, most recently as the Ridgebury Elementary Math Specialist and Elementary Forever Summer Bridge Director.
She holds a Master's degree in reading, a postgraduate degree in educational leadership, and has worked in elementary education in the US, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East since 2007.
Ms. Ippoliti writes, “I am honored and excited to step into the roles of Assistant Principal at Veterans Park and EL Coordinator for RPS. My commitment is to foster an inclusive, supportive, and dynamic learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive. I look forward to working closely with our dedicated staff, students, and community.”
Her references—RPS Elementary Supervisor Linda Johnson, Elementary Math Coach Jamie Palladino, and Ridgebury Principal Mary Scalise speak to Ms. Ippoliti’s leadership skills, work ethic, passion for education, and ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Her experience as Forever Summer Bridge Director requires organization, excellent communication, and ability to work autonomously and with others.
Veterans Park Elementary Principal Dr. Sheri Prendergast writes, “We are excited to welcome Erica into the VPES community.” Ms. Ippoliti will begin her new role on August 21.
