Ira Joe Fisher's “P-06877-etry” from the Historic Lounsbury House

“P-06877-etry”
Welcome to another "P-06877-etry” feature where Ridgefield’s second Poet Laureate and 2-time Emmy award winner, Ira Joe Fisher, shares his poetic prowess with HamletHub readers!
Through the Village Window
Through the village window – morning snow.
Last night winter with a gentle blow
Lined the maples and rose from the ground
Up trunks, up the bark, with whitened sound.
It sifted and it winter-drifted
And through the village window – gifted
Me with a soft white in the grey air;
With a soft light, soft white, a soft prayer.
