Ira Joe Fisher's P-06877-etry (Valentine's Day edition) from Ridgefield Library

“P-06877-etry”
Welcome to another "P-06877-etry” feature where Ridgefield’s second Poet Laureate and 2-time Emmy award winner, Ira Joe Fisher, shares his poetic prowess with HamletHub readers!
Always Love
There’s a breeze
Sporting your name.
Soft and often silent,
But always love
Threading through
Our day and through
The star-sparked night.
It slips over the snow;
It whispers through the birch;
It breathes summer
From the spring
And today …
In the middle of
February it ignores
The cold of winter
To warm and to glow
And to remind
Your heart and mine
There’s always love.
Always love.
