New Street (aka Halloween Street)

Ridgefield resident Bill Franzen (aka Mr. Halloween) has been up to his old tricks! He is busily transforming his property into the nightmare on New Street. In the past, Ridgefield Police have been present and have closed the road so the hundreds of community members (young and older) could have a look (and a candy). Over the years, the entire neighborhood has gotten in on the action so just don’t stop at the Bill Franzen’s house!

Halloween on Main Street: A Ridgefield Tradition - street CLOSED from 6 to 10 pm.

If you’ve lived in Ridgefield for even a short time, you know there’s no Halloween scene quite like Main Street! On Halloween night, the sidewalks come alive with crowds of costumed kids and families in a whirlwind of creativity and excitement—a sight to behold.

Get ready for the big day by visiting Jessica Collin’s blog - it is a REAL TREAT! This Ridgefield resident and co-founder of the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off, captures Bill Franzen’s madness over the years and says, “My neighbor might like Halloween even more than I do!” And… she likes Halloween A LOT!
