Ridgefield Police Arrest Stamford Resident In Connection with Fatal MVA

Ridgefield Police report that on May 20, 2024, at approximately 11:17 am, the Department responded to the area of Ethan Allen Highway and New Road for the report of a serious motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers found two cars with severe damage. The operator of vehicle #1, Debora Farrington70, from Washington Depot, was transported to Danbury Hospital with serious injuries and was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital. The operator of vehicle #1, Kelsey Gallagher, 33 from Stamford, was checked on the scene by Ridgefield Fire Department Medics and refused further medical assistance.

Yesterday, Thursday, Sept. 5, Kelsey Gallagher turned herself into police headquarters on an outstanding warrant for:

  • Misconduct with a Motor Vehicle
  • Failure to Drive Right
  • Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Handheld Device

She was processed and fingerprinted before being released on a Written Promise to Appear at Danbury Superior Court on Sept. 18.
