Ridgefield Police respond to Powderhorn Drive, charge 31 year old with Murder

Early this morning, Saturday, August 3 at about 1:00 am, Ridgefield Police responded to 27 Powderhorn Drive for the report of a Domestic Incident. According to the police report, when officers arrived at the home, they found an elderly male deceased.

According to police, Steven James Uricchio, age 31, was taken into custody without incident and charged with Murder. He is being held at Ridgefield Police Department on a court-set 1.5 million dollar bond. He is set to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Monday, August 5 to answer for his charges.

“This incident is under investigation by Ridgefield Police Department’s Detective Division in conjunction with the Connecticut State Police Western District Major Crime Squad. We want to reassure everyone that this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public,” police say.
