On May 22, Ridgefield Republicans held a caucus for registered electors who reside in the Connecticut House of Representatives 111th District (HD111). Colette Kabasakalian, the Ridgefield Republican Town Committee’s recommended candidate, was unanimously endorsed at that caucus.

Colette, a 20-year resident of Ridgefield and local Associate Real Estate Broker, expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the outpouring of support. “Thank you all for your overwhelming support tonight. We have a lot of work ahead of us. Together, I believe that we can create legislation that will best represent Ridgefield. Common sense bills that will support suitable housing for our seniors, our children, teachers, and first responders”.

HD111 encompasses most of Ridgefield except for a small portion in the southwest corner of town. “I am a Ridgefielder. I will work diligently with our State and Local leaders to preserve our community. Our families and friends need to communicate as a whole community for the greater good of the town that I love dearly. Together we can do this”.

Colette, originally from Oceanside, NY, holds a BS degree in Economics from SUNY Oneonta. She served on the Ridgefield Board of Realtors from 2018-2020, volunteered with the Salvation Army, and is a member of the Board of Directors for Something Good in the World, a non-profit alternative community school in Westchester County. Colette enjoys the arts, particularly van Gogh, Kandinsky and Wegman and occasionally is known to dabble in acrylic plein air painting. Her true love is spending time with family, friends and her trio of cats. Colette is looking forward to meeting all of you on the campaign trail and listening to and addressing your concerns and issues.
