Ridgefield’s Arabella Lopez Wins 2024 Caribbean Amateur Championship

Congratulations to Ridgefield’s Arabella Lopez for winning the 67th Caribbean Amateur Golf Championship by 12 shots. The tournament took place at Iberostar Bavaro GC Punta Cana DR July 31st to Aug 2, 2024. 

Lopez representing Puerto Rico shot a career best -8 shooting 66,71,71 for a wire to wire win. With these scores she helped Puerto Rico win the Women’s Team division, The overall Men’s and Women’s combined Team division and the Individual Women’s Championship.

At 14 years old she was the youngest to win and recorded the lowest score ever.
