The 2024 FCIAC Cross Country Championships took place this afternoon, Wednesday, October 16, at Waveny Park in New Canaan, showcasing the region's top high school runners.

Magnus Manley of Ridgefield, the son of Kevin Manley and Amy Pal, delivered a standout performance, capturing the Boys Cross Country Championship with an impressive time of 15:42 in the 5,000-meter varsity race. His victory not only highlighted his individual talent but also propelled Ridgefield High School to an outstanding team victory.

Magnus will continue his athletic career at Yale! “I’m thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to run cross country and track & field at Yale University! I am incredibly grateful to Coach Bryankovalsky for his training and guidance, which have been instrumental in helping me reach this milestone. A huge thank you to Coach for believing in me and offering me this amazing opportunity. I also want to express my gratitude to my family, friends, and teammates for all their support throughout this journey," Magnus shared on Instagram.
