RVNAhealth to Host 49th Annual Wellness Fair in Ridgefield
Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 5th, as RVNAhealth invites you to its 49th Annual Wellness Fair, a beloved community event designed to promote health and well-being. The event offers free health screenings, the chance to meet with local experts, and valuable resources to help you take control of your health.
This year, the fair will be held at Yanity Gym, located at 60 Prospect Street, Ridgefield, a change from previous years’ locations. Attendees will have access to a wide variety of preventive screenings, flu shots, and activities for the whole family.
Health Screenings and Wellness Services
Led by RVNAhealth’s skilled clinical team, including experts in nursing, rehabilitation, nutrition, hospice care, private caregiving, and social work, the fair will offer a comprehensive array of services. Attendees can participate in the following free screenings:
- Anemia
- Blood pressure
- Blood glucose
- Carotid artery
- Cholesterol
- Balance tests
- Foot exams
- Lung function tests
- Posture screening
- Strength testing
- Car seat checks
Attendees can also meet Sophia, RVNAhealth's Therapy Dog!
Flu Shots for All Ages
Flu vaccines will be available for all ages, including both high-dose and regular flu shots. For children under 18, vaccines are provided free of charge through the Connecticut State vaccine program. For adults, RVNAhealth accepts Medicare Part B, Aetna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plans for flu shots.
Fun for Kids
The Ridgefield Boys & Girls Club will be providing activities for children, making the Wellness Fair a fun event for families as well.
